Stress Free Meal Prep

We all lead busy lives. Many times you might find yourself with little time or the desire to prepare healthy meals. Hunger and fatigue hit and before you know it you’re reaching for convenient/fast foods that may temporarily taste good at the time but wreck havoc on your health and fitness goals over time. Set yourself up for mealtime success with this easy to follow meal prep guide to stay on track with healthy eating that will keep you nourished all week. To stay on track with your healthy eating, plan to spend 1-2 hours at least once a week prepping simple nourishing meals. Following this guide filled with real food is the key for a successful week of proper nourishment.
Follow these steps:
Make a plan. Plan out your meals and snacks for the week. In doing so, you’ll know exactly what to shop for and you won’t waste money or time.
Go grocery shopping. Create a shopping list for the recipes you want to cook for the week. Then hit your favorite market.
Simple always wins. Delicious and satisfying meal don’t have to be fancy. In fact, you’ll find the best meals are those made with the most simple real ingredients.
Start prepping! Get in the kitchen, wash your produce and prep a few ingredients. You can also pre-make larger batches of food. Here are some examples of my favorite things to food prep.
Breakfast: Overnight Oats or Baked Omelet Muffins
Lunch: Mediterranean Quinoa & Grilled Chicken or Korean Beef Bowls
Dinner: Sheet Pan Shrimp Tacos or Seared Scallops or Pasta e Fagioli with Chopped Salad
Snacks: Mocha Protein Smoothie or Lemon Poppyseed Protein Muffin
