ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in upstate NY.  Living in the beautiful Hudson Valley I was lucky enough to have always been exposed to a bountiful assortment of fresh foods, amazing restaurants, and parents that spoiled my siblings and me with delicious home cooked meals.  Out of all of this was born my love of nutrition.  As my husband and I raised our own family, I realized more and more the important role nutrition plays to help us thrive, grow, and be healthy.  My early education was in clinical nutrition, which I loved but, as the years went on, I decided to become a holistic nutritionist.  The combination of these two approaches to wellness has made me realize that food really is the best medicine we can give ourselves.

FITNESS

"A body in motion, stays in motion". Newton was spot on with this philosophy. Our bodies are meant to move. Movement is another piece of the puzzle to help the body function at its highest level. I have been in the fitness industry for over 20 years and a certified fitness instructor for over 15 years. I love to help people of ALL ages find movement and exercises that will not only keep them strong but that they enjoy doing.

 

My fitness and nutrition philosophy is to help others find a path that is realistic and sustainable for them. I love to help people learn to adapt habits into their lifestyle that they actually enjoy. I love to help people realize that what brings results is not about restriction, and should not exhaust or deplete the body but in fact will be the complete opposite. Fitness and nutrition should strengthen and energize you, allowing you to feel nourished, less stressed, and more fit and confident.

Incorporating proper strength training and  nourishment is essential to seeing lasting results and feeling amazing. The body should not have to endure such things as restrictive diets. Things of this nature do not work and the human body knows it. The process should also be enjoyable.

FOOD & WELLNESS

I am also very passionate about helping people find the combination of nutrients that work for them. There is never a one size fits all with health and finding the combination of what works for your individual body should never be stressful.  Additionally, I absolutely LOVE food! I dream in food and fun ways to prepare it. The entire process of preparing and sharing meals just excites me! Great ingredients make you feel great and I want YOU to feel great! My approach is simple. Easy recipes, simple real ingredients, and common sense are the keys to success and happy tastes buds! Of course the occasional favorite treat will always be on the menu!


My education is in clinical dietetics and holistic nutrition. I LOVE the field of nutrition and I believe the that the holistic approach is absolutely essential to keeping the body healthy. What we feed our bodies is the first line of defense to keeping us healthy and strong. Our bodies have an incredible ability to function properly when fueled with the proper nutrients, mindset, and movement.
